* Optional Programs: Payment for optional programs is also available, but detailed itineraries will be announced in June.
2. Updated Conference Program
The Secretariat has revised the preliminary program based on various participant requests. Please note that the program is still subject to change as registration proceeds. A finalized version will be available in early July after registration closes.
We have tentatively scheduled the program assuming full-day participation. If you have already arranged your travel or have preferred dates or times for your presentation, please contact the Secretariat directly. We will do our best to accommodate your needs. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
Please check the Program menu on the website regularly for updates.
3. Accommodation Reservation
The deadline to reserve accommodation at Hoam Faculty House has been extended to May 19, 2025. To reserve a room near the conference venue, please email the Secretariat with the following information:
- Full Name
- Application Number (if applicable)
- Desired Room Type
- Dates of Stay (between July 13 and 19)
- Number of Rooms
- Number of Guests
- Name(s) of Additional Guest(s), if applicable
If you requested accommodation via official email, please resubmit your request through online system so that the Secretariat can double-check it for accuracy.
Also, if you would like to share a room with another conference participant, kindly inform the Secretariat separately.
4. Visa Documents
For visa-related support beyond the official invitation letter, please contact the Secretariat directly. Due to internal administrative procedures, it may take approximately 2 to 3 weeks to prepare the necessary documents.
Participants who require a Letter of Guarantee for visa applications are kindly requested to plan their travel within the conference period. This means arriving in Seoul on or after July 13 and departing on or before July 19. Additional documents, such as a round-trip flight itinerary and a certificate of deposit balance, may be required for administrative processing by the Institute for Japanese Studies at Seoul National University, the main host of this conference.
5. Travel Grants
Recipients of travel grants have been notified individually. If you have not received an email from the Secretariat, we regret to inform you that we were unable to provide a grant this time due to extremely limited funding.
Thank you very much for your continued interest and support.
Warm regards,
IARS Seoul Conference Secretariat
